A Glimpse of my feelings.

So, Durga Puja ends here and everyone getting the motivation to start new works. With deep sorrows of Goodbye to beloved Maa Durga somewhere I saw a little smile and a feeling of happiness. Happiness of the man who made the Festival more sonorous. Who made the ambience holy and the one who created the smell of sound travel through the sacred smoke of incense sticks. The man who played the dhak (bengali traditional drum) to make your Puja complete, who was about to go home with thousands of dreams in his eyes. With bag full of sweets for his children and a small gift of love, kept with care, for his beautiful wife. Then he sees the satisfaction of his family after the end of Puja who had nothing before it started.

This is similar to as Dr Bhupen Hazarika mentioned in his song that being a Dola Carrier he sees Costly sarees and shining gold ornaments worn by the ladies of the rich families. During the entire journey the life of the rich passenger along with all their belongings is in his hands whereas he being the carrier of such things couldn't even gift a piece of cloth for his son who's waiting for his return at home.

Durga Puja does not assume the festive aura without the maddening beats of the dhak, the large drum that men hang around their necks and play with two thin sticks to infuse the frenzied rhythm into listeners. Those enchanting beats are enough to conjure up the sights and smells of Durga Puja.

To the most underrated musicians of our society I wish you all Subho Bijoya. May Maa Durga shower love, happiness and good health to your families.
