A Trip to Rajasthan
Some moments have footprint that are too memorable and capture the whole of one's life, Thinking about the trip to Rajasthan fills my heart with sweet memories. A place having a historical background is called a place of importance.People generally feel a keen desire to visit such places for learning about the places and the past events and legends relating to do it . Historical knowledge of person becomes more distinct from such visits.
I found this golden chance from my college.I have a huge team. The total students of our team was 14 and the best part was that we belong to different departments and we didn't even know each other before planning the trip.But the bond that grown between us was magical.The name of our guide was Aparna Nath ma'am and Sudip Nath sir.
We were decided to go first Delhi and next to Rajasthan.We started our journey in 9th of January 2019 from Guwahati railway station (Paltan bazaar). We all came to Guwahati railway station and the name of our train was Purvatar S Kranti. Thus we started our journey to Rajasthan.On 11 January 2019 we reached Rajasthan.
Rajasthan is the largest state in India located in North Western side of the country. It is an important tourist destination in India. Rajasthan is also known for its rich cultural heritage and it's royel history. In a palaces and forts are remainders of the many kingdoms that historically vied for the region.
First destination of our trip was Pushkar lake. Pushkar is a sacred lake of the Hindus. The Hindu scriptures described it as "Tritha -Raj"- The king of pilgrimage sites related to a water body and relate it to mythology of the creator god Brahma, Whose most prominent Temple stands in Pushkar.Secondly we visited Brahma temple. Brahma is a Hindu temple, which is situated at Pushkar near the Pushkar lake. In the evening we visited the famous Ajmer Sarif Sarah. It is believed that a person who prays with a pure heart at Jamie Sharif Sarah gets all his or her wishes fulfilled.
The next morning we moved to the first destination for the day and it was Jodhpur, which is also know as blue city. At first we visited Has want Thada. It was build by Maharaja Sarar Sing of Jodhpur. Secondly we visited Umaid Bhawan , located in Jodhpur. It is one of the largest private residences . The palace has 347 rooms and is the principle residence of the former Jodhpur royal family.A part of the palace is a museum. Than we moved our last destination for the day, the Mehrangarh fort, located in Jodhpur. It is one of the largest fort in India. Build it around 1460 by Rao Joshua, the Rort is situated 410 feet (125m) above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls.
Our last destination of the trip was Jaipur. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan. City palace was our first destination in the city. It was very beautiful. Secondly we visited Hawa mahal, which is also know as palace of winds "or " palace of Breeze . It is constructed of red and pink sandstone. It structure was build in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Sing . Than we moved the last destination for the day,the Hall Naval(water palace).It is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar lake in Jaipur city.
On 14th of January 2019 we got into our return train in Jaipur railway station and we reached Assam on 16th of January 2019. It was an amazing and great experience. It was very glad to have visited those places. The natural beauty of the places charmed me much. The memory of this visit will remain in my heart for ever.
